Although Lexes Dolls Ragdolls has a very extensive health guarantee, vaccination is one of the single most important investments that you can make in your Ragdoll kitten or Ragdoll cat’s future good health.

Your Ragdoll kitten will begin its series of vaccinations at 8 weeks of age. The following is the kitten schedule your Ragdoll kitten will be on:

• 8 weeks old; first RCP vaccine (killed virus)
• 12 weeks old; second RCP vaccine (killed virus), first FeLV vaccine
( killed virus)
• 16 weeks old, third RCP vaccine (killed virus), second FeLV (killed virus), and Rabies if desired.

The final group of vaccinations given at 16 weeks of age gives long term immunity that lasts a full year. After completion of this series of kitten vaccinations, your adult Ragdoll will need boosters on RCP, FeLV, and rabies (if desired) every year.

***It is extremely important that you never give a Ragdoll kitten or Ragdoll cat more then one vaccination at same time. Ragdolls have been known for their tendency to have allergic reactions to vaccinations, therefore; it is always advisable to wait a day or two in between vaccinations and always vaccinate with killed virus vaccinations.***

The following are the diseases for which these vaccinations vaccinate against:

The (RCP)
Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis: (FVR) is a highly contagious upper respiratory disease caused by feline herpesvirus-1.
Feline Calicivirus: (FCV) is a highly upper respiratory disease that is similar to feline viral rhinotracheitis.
Feline Panleukopenia Virus: Also known s feline distemper, Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV) is a severe and very contagious multisystamic disease, which most commonly strikes young kittens.

The (FeLV)
Feline Leukemia Virus: (FeLV) is a severe and often fatal disease, which affects the cat’s immune system and can lead to lymphosarcoma lymphoid leukemia.

The Rabies
Rabies virus: Rabies virus also infects humans and is fatal to humans. Rabies is 100% fatal to Ragdoll kittens and Ragdoll cats. There is no treatment.
